It’s the 10th day of the month which means it’s time for 10 on the 10th with Meredith! This month I wanted to share 10 things that I’m loving that I think you might love, too!
1. Mer just Tweeted about a neat summer reading program that I want to do with my kids this summer.

Barnes and Noble has a Summer Reading program that allows your child to earn a free book when he or she reads eight books. You can get more information and download a Passport to Summer Reading here.
2. Speaking of books, how about a free audio book download?!
You can download The Hole in Our Gospel by Rich Stearns free at www.christianaudio.com this month. Use the coupon code MAY2010. This book just won the Christian Book of the Year award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Rich Stearns is the president of World Vision. The book is about his struggle to obey God and His command to fight poverty and injustice in the world. This book is on my “Want to Read” list so I downloaded it this morning in the hopes that maybe I can at least listen to it in the car until I have time to read the book.
3. Happy Hour at Starbucks!
Participating Starbucks stores are offering half-price Frappuccinos from 3 until 5 p.m. until May 16th! Perfect for my every-afternoon-at-4-crash-and-burn feeling!
4. Speaking of cold coffee beverages, K brought me a McCafe’ Caramel Frappe’ this weekend and may I just say, YUM!
And less expensive than a regular-price Frappucino, for sure!
5. Fake toenails.

I know, I know, but just listen to me. Last week at ballet I commented on my friend’s cute pedicure. I couldn’t believe me when she told me she bought them at Walgreens and glued them on her toes! But she did! So the next time I was in Walgreen’s I bought a box and tried them myself. I was imagining those thick chunks of plastic that I used to superglue on my fingernails back in the 80s. These were surprisingly comfortable and they actually stayed on my toes! Several friends complimented me on my pedicure. I’m not one of those girls who can resist telling when I find a good bargain (You like my shirt? It was $3 at Walmart!), so of course I told my friends they were fake nails. And now I’m telling you.
I don’t think I’d wear them for weeks at a time but they’re great for special occasions when you want your toes to look cute but you don’t have the time or extra cash to spend on a pedicure!
6. Laura Geller’s Spackle (Under Makeup Primer)
This was in the Swag Bag I received at QVC’s Beauty Bash. I love it! It makes my makeup go on more smoothly and I’ve noticed that my makeup stays on longer without needing a touchup.
7. Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Natural Mascara
This is the only non-waterproof mascara I’ve ever used that didn’t make me look like a raccoon within hours of applying it. And it makes my lashes look especially long! Plus I have to give Tarte props (do people give props anymore?) for the cutest mascara container EVER!
8. Tree Frog Creations!!

I’m from the South. We monogram things. It’s just what we do. My friend Renae has an Etsy store with the cutest little personalized whatever-you-wants! And I won a personalized bag from her store last week. Now I just have to decide which one I want!
9. Friday Night Lights! The new season has FINALLY started!!
Coach Taylor, how I’ve missed you! I just know that your wife Tami and I would be BFFs!!
10. MercyMe’s newest CD!
I think the song “Move” is worth the price of the CD. Love. It.
Wait! I know I have 10 things on my list already, but I just thought of one more. The 3rd DVD in the What’s in the Bible series just went on sale.
I’m hopefully going to buy it at Lifeway this afternoon. This one covers Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Since I’ve stalled in my read-through-the-Bible program right smack dab in the middle of Deuteronomy, I’m hoping that Buck Denver and his friends can give me a push start to make it through the rest of the book! I can’t wait to see how Clive and Ian handle all the clean and unclean laws!
Go to http://www.lifeat7000feet.com to see more Lists of 10. I always enjoy seeing what creative list ideas others have. I hope the rest of your 10th is sTENsational, TENriffic, and enterTENing. And I promise I’ll try to never make up adjectives using the word “ten” again. It’s just too inTENse.
